race day

Well the first race day has arrived and it's not good news. The leg is not good, iced it up and popped ibuprofen. We will have to see-at the moment it looks like I will try to get Mandy under 30 mins for the race.


Well race completed-started pacing Mandy but found that I could run as I wanted. I went too fast between 1 and 2k markers but saw it out for an unofficial time of 24 mins 23 seconds.
Not bad for an old fella in his first ever 5k.

Just as fottnote I managed to finish 141st in an official time of 24mins 22 secs-I await Mandy's official time and position.

    appreciate that-sorry I didn't run with you-felt very guilty about that-you did yourself proud the course was tough.
